Title: Banning Non-Elected Boards from Requiring Nutrition Information on Menus

Vote to override a veto of a bill that prohibits any non-elected body of a municipality, county, or metropolitan government from enacting an ordinance or issuing a rule or regulation pertaining to the provision of food nutritional information or from otherwise regulating menus at food service establishments.

-Requires that any federally-mandated requirements regarding nutritional information at food service establishments which authorize state departments to enforce requirements be handled by the Department of Health (Sec. 1). -Exempts dining facilities with an adequately installed forced air exhaust system from the rules and regulations prohibiting live animals in the presence of dining facilities (Sec. 1). -Exempts churches, temples, synagogues or other religious institutions, civic, fraternal, or veteran's organizations from rules and regulations requiring food to be obtained from sources that comply with all laws relating to food and food labeling (Sec. 1).

NOTE: A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE MEMBERS FROM EACH CHAMBER IS REQUIRED TO OVERRIDE THE GOVERNOR'S VETO.
