Title: General Assembly Authorization Requirements for Implementation of Federal Health Care Legislation
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the General Assembly to pass legislation for a department or agency of the state to implement new federal health care provisions.
-Prohibits a department or agency of the state from implementing any component of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, unless the department or agency reports to the General Assembly and the General Assembly passes legislation specifically authorizing the state's compliance with, or participation in, the intended federal health care provisions (Sec. 2). -Requires a report to be submitted to the General Assembly on behalf of the department or agency of the state, including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 2):
