Title: Legalizing Sale of Unpasteurized Milk

Vote to pass a bill that authorizes dairy farmers with a grade A dairy farm permit to sell unpasteurized milk from cows, sheep, or goats directly to consumers on the farm.

Highlights:

-Authorizes a milk producer to sell unpasteurized milk, buttermilk, butter, and cream directly to a consumer on the producer's farm if the following criteria are met (Sec. 1):

    -The producer has a permit to sell such products; -Either the producer or the consumer provides a sanitary container for the product; and -At the place where the products are sold, the producer displays a sign that is easy for a consumer to read that states how raw milk products do not provide the protection of pasteurization.
-Specifies that a milk producer who sells a product under the established legal restrictions is immune from civil liability for the death of or injury to an individual caused by the product, unless the death or injury was caused by "willful or wanton acts or omissions" (Sec. 1).
