Vote on a motion to exclude an amendment from SB 1024 that requires the national political party committee for a presidential candidate to submit to the Secretary of State documents that prove the candidate is a natural born citizen and meets the residency requirements for president within 10 days after the names of presidential candidates have been submitted.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a candidate's name from appearing on the ballot if the Secretary of State has "reasonable cause" to believe that the candidate is not a citizen and does not meet the residency requirements for president.
