Vote to pass a bill that provides homeowners or their heirs a 9 percent rebate on 2006 property taxes, up to a prescribed cumulative state total. The bill also requires the sale of $1.1 million of state-owned land, the proceeds of which will be deposited in the general fund. The bill stipulates that both these provisions are contingent upon the Minnesota Supreme Court reversing the lower court in State v. Philip Morris, Inc. and allowing the continued collection of health impact fees on cigarette sales by August 1, 2006.
