Title: State Funding for Works of Art in Capital Construction Projects
Vote to repass a bill, after having concurred with House amendments that allocate one percent of capital constructions funds to public art.
-Specifies that public art should be accessible because it increases morale, encourages donations to purchase more art, and represents Colorado's culture (Sec. 1). -Requires that not less than one percent of the state's capital construction fund will be spent on artwork (Sec. 2). -Authorizes that the legislation become effective 90 days after the last day of the general assembly, unless a referendum petition is filed and it is to be voted on in the general election, then it will take effect when the governor announces the vote (Sec. 6). -Specifies that if Senate Bill 158 becomes a law then Section 2 and 3 will not be enforced (Sec. 6).
