Vote to pass a bill that allows for the possession of handguns in establishments that serve alcohol.

Highlights:

-Authorizes that a person with a valid or temporary emergency license to carry a concealed handgun may possess a gun in establishments that serve alcohol as long as that person is not consuming alcohol or under the influence of other drugs of abuse (Sec. 1). -Removes restrictions on transporting a firearm in a motor vehicle for people who have the proper license to carry a concealed handgun (Sec. 1). -Prohibits a person carrying a gun in a motor vehicle who has a concealed weapons license from knowingly touching a handgun or failing to comply with instructions of the officer, such as keeping his or her hands in plain sight during a traffic stop (Sec. 1).
