Vote to pass a bill proposing a constitutional amendment that increases the sales tax by three eights of one percent. The bill specifies that 34 percent of the money collected from this increase will be used to protect and improve Minnesota’s wildlife, 22 percent for parks, trails, and zoos in Minnesota, 22 percent to protect and restore Minnesota’s clean water, and 22 percent for the arts, humanities, history museums, and public broadcasting. The bill also creates separate funds for the money in these four areas and separate councils to administer the money provided for wildlife and for clean water.
