Title: Repealing Business Transaction Reporting Requirements
Vote on a motion to invoke cloture on an amendment to S Amdt 4595 to S Amdt 4594 to HR 5297 that repeals the requirement for businesses to report purchases of $600 or more made in the course of trade or business to the Secretary of the Treasury, and reduces appropriations to the Prevention and Public Health Fund (reporting requirement and Prevention and Public Health Fund established by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act).
Title: Repealing Business Transaction Reporting Requirements
NOTE: INVOKING CLOTURE REQUIRES A 3/5 MAJORITY OF THE SENATE. IT IS NOT A VOTE ON THE PASSAGE OF THE PIECE OF LEGISLATION, BUT LIMITS FURTHER DEBATE TO 30 HOURS. CLOTURE IS TYPICALLY USED TO END A FILIBUSTER. A FAILED CLOTURE VOTE OFTEN PREVENTS THE LEGISLATION FROM EVER COMING TO A VOTE.
