Title: Response to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the State of Idaho from enforcing certain provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Highlights:

  • Specifies that no person in the State of Idaho shall be required to participate in a government health insurance program not authorized by the State of Idaho (Sec. 1).
  • Specifies that every employer in the State of Idaho is free to decide whether or not to offer, maintain, or modify health insurance plans for their employees (Sec. 1).
  • Prohibits the State of Idaho from enforcing, administering, or enacting the discretionary provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which are (Sec. 2):
