Vote to pass a bill that authorizes an individual without an administrative license to be employed as a superintendent of public schools.

Highlights:

• Authorizes an individual who does not possess an administrative license to be employed as a superintendent or assistant superintendent of public schools (Sec. 1).

• Requires each superintendent or assistant superintendent of schools who does not hold an administrative license to complete a program conducted by a professional organization of school administrators, and specifies that this program must be completed within 1 year of the hiring date of the superintendent or assistant superintendent (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes individuals who are not licensed by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission to be employed as administrators in public charter schools (Sec. 9).
