Vote to pass a bill that restores the voting privileges of certain convicted felons, as well as authorizes them to hold public office and serve on a jury.

Highlights:

• Authorizes individuals convicted of a felony to vote and serve on a jury in a civil matter in the state upon meeting 1 of the following criteria (Secs. 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8):
• Is granted a pardon;
• Is discharged from probation;
• Is discharged from parole; or
• Completes his or her sentence and is released from prison.

• Authorizes individuals convicted of a felony to hold public office in the state upon meeting 1 of the following criteria (Secs. 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8):
• Is granted a pardon;
• Waits 4 years after being discharged from probation;
• Waits 4 years after being discharged from parole; or
• Waits 4 years after completing his or her sentence and being released from prison.

• Allows individuals convicted of a felony to serve on a jury in a criminal matter in the state upon meeting 1 of the following criteria (Secs. 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8):
• Is granted a pardon;
• Waits 6 years after being discharged from probation;
• Waits 6 years after being discharged from parole; or
• Waits 6 years after completing his or her sentence and being released from prison.
