Highlights:

• Prohibits a public employer from deducting a third party payment from an employee paycheck, unless the employee annually provides written or electronic authorization for the deduction (Sec. 1).

• Exempts the following deductions from the provisions of this bill (Sec. 1):
• Deductions for state, local or federal taxes;
• Deductions for employee health care;
• Retirement contributions; and
• Any other deductions required by law.
