Vote to pass a bill that prohibits public bodies from meeting on caucus nights.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a public body from meeting at the same time as a voting precinct caucus, if notice of the caucus has been given by a party officer at least 90 days in advance (Secs. 2 & 3). 

• Defines “voting precinct caucus” as the meeting at which a delegate to a county or state nominating convention is selected (Sec. 2).

• Requires the Statewide Electronic Voter Information Website to give the date and time a voting precinct caucus will be held (Sec. 2).

• Exempts emergency meetings from the provisions of the bill (Sec. 3).
