Vote to pass a bill that requires individuals convicted of an aggravated misdemeanor to submit a DNA sample, effective July 1, 2014.
Highlights:

- Exempts an individual from the provisions of this bill if he or she was convicted of any of the following offenses (Sec. 1):
- A hazardous waste offense;

- A gaming and betting offense;
- A motor vehicle or traffic violation; or
- A second offense for operating while under the influence of alcohol or a drug, unless the individual has more than one previous revocation within the immediate past 12 year period due to an operating under the influence of alcohol or a drug offence.
