Title: Prohibits Sexual Orientation Conversion Therapy for Minors

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the use of sexual orientation conversion therapy on minors, effective immediately.
Highlights:
- Prohibits certain counseling professionals, including, but not limited to, the following counseling professionals, from engaging in “sexual orientation change efforts” with an individual less than 18 years of age (Sec. 2):
- A psychiatrist;
- A psychologist;
- A psychoanalyst;
- A social worker; or
- A marriage and family therapist.
- Defines “sexual orientation change efforts” as the practice of seeking to change an individual’s sexual orientation through certain efforts including, but not limited to, the following efforts (Sec. 2):
- Efforts to change behaviors, gender identity, or gender expressions;
- Efforts to reduce or eliminate “sexual or romantic attractions or feelings” toward an individual of the same gender.
- Specifies that the definition of sexual orientation change efforts does not include counseling for an individual seeking to transition from 1 gender to another (Sec. 2).
