Vote to override a veto of a bill that establishes the Aging Nebraskans Task Force.
Highlights:
- Establishes the Aging Nebraskans Task Force to develop and facilitate the implementation of a statewide strategic plan for addressing the needs of the aging population in the state (Sec. 2).
- Requires the task force to create a strategic plan for long-term care services which includes, but is not limited to, the following strategies (Sec. 2):
- The promotion of independent living through services and support that enable an individual to live in the setting of his or her choice;and
- The development of an evaluation process for home and community-based long-term care services and support.
