Title: Increases Minimum Wage

Vote to pass a bill that increases the state hourly minimum wage, effective July 1, 2014.
Highlights:
- Increases the hourly minimum wage from $7.25 to the following amounts (Sec. 1):
- $9.00, until December 31, 2015; and
- $10.00, beginning January 1, 2016 until December 31, 2016.
- Requires the hourly minimum wage to be annually adjusted for inflation after December 31, 2016 (Sec. 1).
- Requires the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development to annually calculate the adjustment for inflation in an amount that is equal to the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers in the Anchorage metropolitan area during the previous calendar year (Sec. 2).
