Highlights:

  • Appropriates $97.97 million in operating expenses for Kansas State University for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2016 and $100.32 million for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2017 (Secs. 114 & 115).

  • Appropriates $123.41 million in operating expenses for University of Kansas for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2016 and $126.75 million for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2017 (Sec. 124).

  • Appropriates $15.76 million to a need-based comprehensive grant program and requires expenditures for such grants to go towards independent and private colleges in an amount not less than $13.32 million (Sec. 130).
