Title: Increases Weight Limit for Commercial Trucks

Vote to adopt an amendment to H Amdt 734 to HR 22 that increases the weight limit for commercial trucks on the Interstate.

Highlights:

  • Authorizes a state to increase the gross weight limit of a vehicle on an Interstate System route to 91,000 pounds, if the vehicle meets the following requirements:
    • The vehicle is equipped with at least 6 axles;
    • The weight of 1 axle does not exceed 20,000 pounds;
    • The weight of 2 axles does not exceed 34,000 pounds; and
    • The weight of 3 axles does not exceed 45,000 pounds.
