Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the state from discriminating against an individual on the basis of certain religious beliefs.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the state from taking a discriminatory action against an individual, corporation, or organization on the basis of the following “sincerely held” beliefs (Sec. 1):
• The belief that marriage is the union of 1 man and 1 woman;
• The belief that sexual relations are reserved for marriage; and
• The belief that the terms “man” and “woman” refer to the gender determined at birth.

• Specifies that a discriminatory action includes, but is not limited to, the following actions (Sec. 1):
• The alteration of tax treatment;
• The repeal of tax deductions for charitable contributions; and
• The reduction of a grant, contract, scholarship, accreditation, or entitlement.
