Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the sale of certain fireworks, effective June 1, 2016.
Prohibits a local government from limiting the sale of sparkling devices, novelties, or “aerial and audible devices” (Sec. 1).
Defines “aerial and audible devices” as fireworks that contain up to 75 grams of an explosive chemical mixture per tube for a total of up to 500 grams for multiple tubes in a single device, including bottle rockets and roman candles (Sec. 1).
Specifies that aerial and audible devices may only be sold from June 1 to July 10 (Sec. 1).
Authorizes a city or town to establish an ordinance, rule, or regulation that prohibits or limits the sale of aerial and audible devices and novelties within the city or town (Sec. 1).
