Title: Expands Voting Rights for Certain Convicted Felons

Vote to pass a bill that expands voting rights to include individuals who are not imprisoned in a state or federal jail or on parole for the conviction of a felony.
Highlights:
- Authorizes an individual to register to vote in the state of California if he or she meets the following criteria (Sec. 2):
- The individual is a United States citizen;
- The individual is a resident of California;
- The individual is at least 18 years of age at the time of the next election; and
- The individual is not “imprisoned” or on parole for the conviction of a felony.
- Defines “imprisoned” as currently serving a state or federal prison sentence (Sec. 1).
