Vote to pass a bill that prohibits employers from seeking information about a potential employee's previous salaries.
Exempts an employer from seeking salary history information including, but not limited to, compensation and benefits of an applicant for a job (Sec. 1).
Authorizes employers to provide pay scale information to applicants under reasonable requests (Sec. 1).
Specifies that this bill does not apply to salary information disclosable to the public under federal and state law (Sec. 1).
