Title: Prohibits Localities from Requiring Project Labor Agreements
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits local government from requiring businesses to enter into a project labor agreement in order to bid on government project.
Prohibits local unit of government from practicing any of the following in soliciting bids or competitive sealed proposals (Sec. 1, 2):
Require the bidder to enter into or adhere to an agreement with a labor organization;
Consider when awarding a contract, whether a bidder has or has not entered into an agreement with a labor organization; or
Require the bidder to enter into an agreement that requires that the bidder or bidder’s employees become or remain members of a labor organization or pay any dues or fees to a labor organization.
