• Requires that the patient sign a disposition of remains form that describes the approved options for disposal of the fetal tissue after an abortion or miscarriage (Sec. 1).

• Requires that individuals seeking an abortion verify in writing that they have been informed of the following (Sec. 2):

• The nature and consequences of an abortion;

• That Texas law requires them to undergo a sonogram prior to the abortion;

• That they have the option to view the sonogram images; and

• That Texas law requires them to hear a verbal explanation of the results of the sonogram images, except when the pregnancy is a result of a rape or incest.
