Title: Prohibits Sale of Certain Toy Guns and Imitation Firearms

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the sale of certain toy guns and imitation firearms.
Highlights:

Prohibits the sale of toy guns or imitation firearms that appear to be genuine, unless they are (Sec. 1):

A color other than black, blue, silver, or aluminum;

Marked with a non-removable orange stripe that is at least one inch in width and runs the entire length of each side of the gun’s barrel; and
-
Equipped with a barrel that is at least 1 inch in diameter and closed at a distance of at least 1-half of an inch from the barrel’s front end with the same material of which the toy gun or imitation firearm is made.

Specifies that theatrical firearms are exempt from the provisions of this bill (Sec. 1).

Specifies that the requirement that the barrel of the firearm be closed does not apply to water guns (Sec. 1).

Establishes penalties for violations at a maximum of $500 for the first offense and $1,000 for each subsequent offense (Sec. 1).
