Vote to pass a bill that authorizes continued funding for the state's Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Highlights:

• Authorizes an extension of funding for Mississippi’s Medicare and Medicaid programs (Sec. 1).

• Repeals the reimbursement caps of 12 doctor visits per year and 5 prescriptions per month (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes reimbursement for up to 30 days of inpatient hospital care annually for all Medicaid recipients (Sec. 1).

• Requires primary care physicians to be fully reimbursed for services they provide to Medicare recipients and individuals covered by a Medicaid managed-care plan (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the above provision only applies to physicians with a designation of family medicine, internal medicine, pediatric medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, or any subspecialty that provides primary care services (Sec. 1).

• Prohibits pharmacy providers from being reimbursed by any Medicaid contractor for less than the maximum rate approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) (Sec. 1).
