Vote to pass with amendment a bill that prohibits physicians from performing a dilation and evacuation abortion on an individual who is at least 11 weeks pregnant, except in the case of a medical emergency.

Highlights:

• Prohibits performing or inducing an abortion through dilation and evacuation on an individual who has been pregnant for at least 11 weeks, except in medical emergencies (Secs. 1 & 2).

• Prohibits legal action against the individual who undergoes the procedure (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that any provider in violation will be convicted of a Class D felony and face up to 5 years in prison and revocation of their medical license (Sec. 2).
