Vote to pass a bill that authorizes terminally ill patients to use non FDA approved drugs after exhausting all other approved treatment options.
Defines “eligible investigational drugs” as a drug that has completed phase 1 clinical trials but has not been approved or licensed under the Public Health Service Act (Sec. 2).
Requires that a physician immediately report to the drug manufacturer any serious adverse events associated with the use of the eligible investigational drug on a patient (Sec. 2).
