Title: Establishes Stopgap Budget
A vote to pass a bill that establishes a stopgap budget.
Specifies that $287 million will be appropriated to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission to fund the Monetary Award Grant Program and agency operational costs (Article 2, Sec. 12).
Specifies that $36 million will be appropriated to the Illinois Community College Board to provide scholarships for students of public community colleges and all City University of Chicago programs (Article 2, Sec. 27).
Authorizes the Illinois Community College Board to spend $32 million on promoting and creating adult literacy programs (Article 2, Sec. 37).
Specifies the operating costs and budgets for all Illinois public universities (Article 2, Secs. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, & 35).
Authorizes a $10 million increase in funds for the Department of Human Services to fund programs relating to HIV/AIDS education and costs associated with referral and partner notification and Patient/Worker notification (Article 3, Sec. 15).
Authorizes a $4 million increase in funding for breast and cervical cancer screenings administered by the Department of Health Services (Article 3, Sec. 20).
