Vote to concur with Senate amendment and pass a bill that authorizes registration and voting by an individual convicted of a felony.

Highlights:

• Authorizes those convicted of felonies to register to vote, as long as they have not been incarcerated within the last five years (Sec. 1).

• Prohibits voting for those who have been convicted of a felony offense of election fraud or any other election offense (Sec. 1).

• Requires felons who wish to become registered as voters to provide documentation from the appropriate correctional official in the office of the registrar (Sec. 1).

• Requires that the secretary of state and Department of Public Safety and Correction develop a form to allow a person convicted of a felony to meet these requirements (Sec. 2).
