Title: Amends Eligibility For School Tuition Benefits
A vote to pass a bill that amends the eligibility for tuition benefits towards community colleges or universities.
Authorizes in-state tuition for community colleges and universities to graduates of any public or private school in Arizona (Sec. 2).
Exempts commercial or professional licensure and postsecondary education from the definition of “state or local benefit” (Sec. 1).
Specifies that application requires one of the following documents (Sec. 1):
An Arizona driver license issued after 1996 or an Arizona nonoperating identification license;
A birth certificate issued in any state, territory, or possession of the United States (US);
A US certificate of birth abroad, or US passport;
A foreign passport with a US visa or an I-94 form with photograph;
A US citizenship and immigration services employment authorization or refugee travel document; or
A US certification of naturalization or citizenship or a tribal certificate of Indian blood or affidavit of birth.
