Vote to pass a bill that establishes the fiscal year 2019 state public education budget.

Highlights:

• Requires school districts to specify the anticipated amount that will be transferred from their yearly budgets to operation funding (Sec. 1).

• Requires school districts to acknowledge whether that transferred amount will exceed 15 percent of the total revenue for the next calendar year (Sec. 1).

• Requires for a budget report to be submitted to state officials that the board prepare a list that includes, but is not limited to the following topics (Sec.2):

• The number of full-time public school teachers and district level administrators;

• The average tenure of full-time public school teachers;

• The number of first-year, full-time teachers who retired during the current collective bargaining period;
