Vote to pass a bill that establishes a work group to study Universal Health Care.

Highlights:

• Authorizes the state legislature to establish a work group to study Universal Health Care coverage and costs and explore mechanisms to operate and fund such a program (Sec. 1).

• Requires the work group to consist of a broad range of stakeholders, which will all have expertise in the health care financing and delivery system, including, but not limited to (Sec. 2):

• Consumers, patients, and the general public;

• Patient advocates and the community health advocates;

• Large and small businesses with experience in large and small group insurance models;

• Health care providers that are self-employed and health care providers that are otherwise employed; or

• Health care facilities such as hospitals and clinics or health insurance carriers.
