Vote to pass a bill that prohibits local governments from imposing regulations on private businesses in regards to employee leave.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a political subdivision in this state from adopting or enforcing any ordinance, rule, regulation, or policy regulating a private employer’s terms of employment relating to any form of employment leave, including paid days off from work for holidays, sick leave, vacation, and personal necessity (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that any ordinance, order, rule, regulation, or policy that violates this act is void and unenforceable (Sec. 1).
