Vote to pass a bill that prohibits discrimination in public schools.

Highlights:

• Prohibits any person from being excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in public schools because of their age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, color, marital status, familial status, disability, religion, or national origin (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes any person claiming to be aggrieved by a discriminatory practice to initiate a civil action in a court against a school or school district for legal or equitable relief (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that this act will take effect 60 days after its passage (Sec. 3).
