Title: Prohibits Exemption from Vaccinations Based on Religious Beliefs
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits exemptions from vaccinations based on religious beliefs.
Prohibits a principal, teacher, owner, or person in charge of a school from permitting any child to be admitted to school in excess of 14-30 days without the child's immunization record being provided and verified (Sec. 1).
Specifies that a parent or guardian of a child shall only admit their child to attend school if the parent or guardian can demonstrate that their child has received at least the first dose of age appropriate immunization series to protect against the following disesases (Sec. 1):
Poliomyelitis;
Mumps;
Measles;
Diphtheria;
Rubella;
Varicella;
Hepatitis B;
Pertussis,
Tetanus;
Influenza type B;
Meningococcal disease; and
Pneumococcal disease.
