  • Requires that by January 1, 2030, all plastic beverage containers filled by a beverage manufacturer to contain no less than 50 percent post-consumer recycled plastic (Sec. 2).

  • Requires that by March 1, 2022, and each year annually thereafter, every beverage manufacturer to report to the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery on the pounds, resin type, and the amounts of virgin plastic and post-consumer recycled plastic used by the manufacturer (Sec. 2).

  • Specifies that this act does not apply to rigid plastic containers or rigid plastic bottles that are medical devices, medical products designed to be sterile, prescription medicine, and packaging used for those products (Sec. 5).
