  • Prohibits health insurers, life insurers, and long-term care insurers, in the absence of a diagnosis of a condition related to genetic information, from canceling, limiting, denying coverage, or establishing differentials in premium rates based on such information (Sec. 1).

  • Prohibits health insurers, life insurers, and long-term care insurers from requiring or soliciting genetic information, using genetic test results, or considering a person’s decisions or actions relating to genetic testing for any insurance purpose (Sec. 1).

  • Specifies that this act applies to policies entered into or renewed on or after January 1, 2021 (Sec. 2).
