Title: Prohibits LGBTQ Discrimination

  • Defines “age” in this section as an individual who is at least 40 years of age (Sec. 1).

  • Defines “place of public accommodation” as all places or businesses offering or holding out to the general public goods, services, privileges, facilities, advantages, or accommodations (Sec. 1).

  • Prohibits discriminating against anyone on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, age, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or status as a veteran, within the following (Sec. 1):

    • Employment procedures and practices;

    • Service practices in places of public accommodation;

    • Credit transactions and services;

    • Housing practices; and

    • Residential real estate-related transactions.

  • Authorizes a county to enact an ordinance that prohibits discrimination in housing, real estate transactions, employment, public accommodations, credit, and education on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, national origin, status as a veteran, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability (Sec. 1).
