  • Authorizes the following to submit school readiness assessment data to the School Readiness Board (Sec. 2):

    • A Local Education Agency (LEA) on behalf of a school not participating in the High-Quality School Readiness Grant Program.

  • Requires the state board to (Sec. 3):

    • Develop and collect data from kindergarten entry and exit assessments; and

    • Make rules regarding the administration of and reporting regarding the assessments.

  • Requires an LEA that receives certain funds to report to the state board the results of the entry and exit assessments in relation to each kindergarten student in the LEA (Sec. 3).

  • Specifies that the LEA is not eligible for subsequent distributions unless the results of the entry and exit assessments demonstrate successful outcomes of the LEA’s enhanced kindergarten program, as determined by the board (Sec. 3).

  • Repeals the Kindergarten supplemental enrichment program (Sec. 5).

  • Appropriates $9.96 million to the State Board of Education for the Early Intervention Program (Sec. 6).

  • Appropriates $45,000 to the State Board of Education for the High-Quality School Readiness Grant Program (Sec. 6).
