Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funding for the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) public health response and planning.

Highlights:

• Appropriates $20.9 million from the 2020 fiscal year general fund for public health responses related to a potential outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to be used until expended (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that on February 1, 2021 any unobligated and unexpected amount in the contingency account over $5 million on shall be transferred to the general fund (Sec. 1).

• Requires that all federal money received in fiscal years 2020 and 2021 by the commissioner of health is appropriated in the fiscal year in which it is received and a report of the actual federal funds received and their actual use is made to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction over health and human services policy and finance by January 15, 2021
