Vote to amend and pass a bill that expands death benefits to the families of public works employees killed in the line of duty.
Highlights:

Establishes an occupational safety & health standards advisory board consisting of the following members (Sec. 2):

3 governor-appointed representatives of public employers that represent state agencies, counties and municipalities;

3 governor-appointed representatives of public employers that represent state, school and municipal employees;

One governor-appointed representative of an insurance company licensed to ensure workers’ compensation;

One representative of Keene State WorkWISE NH, appointed by them;
-
2 governor-appointed members of the public; and
-
One member of the state house of representatives, appointed by the speaker.

Requires the state treasurer to pay a $100,000 death benefit to the family of a police officer, firefighter, paramedic, rescue squad member, or public works employee killed in the line of duty (Sec. 4).

Prohibits death benefit compensation from limiting an individual bargaining unit from negotiating wages, terms and conditions specific to that bargaining unit (Sec. 7).

Specifies that this bill takes effect immediately upon passage (Sec. 8).
