Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that extends emergency benefit enhancements in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the extension of unemployment compensation.

Highlights:

• Requires unemployment insurance benefits to cover (Sec. 3):

• Employers or employees that temporarily shut down due to COVID-19;

• An individual who is quarantined and who’s employer has asked them to return to work when quarantine is over; and

• An individual that leaves employment due to themselves or a family member contracting COVID-19.

• Exempts workers that contract COVID-19 from being disqualified from unemployment benefits (Sec. 4). 

• Exempts workers that contract COVID-19 from having to repay their benefits should they disqualify for unemployment benefits (Sec. 6).
