Vote to pass a bill that authorizes statewide absentee voting for the 2020 general election.

Highlights:

• Establishes that all eligible Connecticut voters have the option to vote by mail for the 2020 state elections in light of the COVID-19 pandemic (Sec. 1). 

• Authorizes the Secretary of State to make any changes in printed, recorded, or electronic material (Sec. 3).

• Requires municipal clerks to mail an absentee ballot within 48 hours of receiving an application (Sec. 4). 

• Authorizes municipal clerks to sort all absentee ballots beginning October 20, at 11 AM (Sec. 6).
