Title: Requires Electors to Vote for the Presidential Candidate Who Won the Most Votes in Their State
Vote to pass a bill that requires members of the Electoral College to vote for the presidential candidate that won the most votes in their state.
Requires each elector to cast their ballot for president and vice president for the candidates for these officers who received the highest number of votes within the state (Sec. 1).
Specifies that refusal or failure to vote for the candidates who received the highest number of votes will constitute a resignation from the office as an elector and any such vote by an elector will not be recorded (Sec. 1).
Specifies that nothing in this bill should be interpreted as modifying or repealing title 4 of this article, the agreement among the states to elect the president by national popular vote (Sec. 1).
