A vote to pass a conference report that authorizes an increase in funding for education.

Highlights:

 

  • Authorizes public schools that receive funds and utilize a breakfast program, to use an amount that does not exceed $10 per pupil to pay for costs associated with the operation of the breakfast program (Sec. 31).

  • Authorizes the center to bill departments when necessary to fulfill supply-demand by using the fund to cover the costs of salaries, benefits, supplies, and equipment (Sec. 94). 

  • Specifies that the state school aid fund money would allocate an amount not to go over $66 million for schools (Sec. 29). 

  • Specifies that the department of health and human services shall keep an advisory council for programs that are funded by the school which includes but are not limited to representing school health, school mental health, school counseling, and health care (Sec. 31).
