Highlights:

 

  • Specifies that each commissioner that serves at the polling place on election day will be paid in the following manners:

    • A commissioner-in-charge will receive $250;

    • A commissioner-in-charge who serves at more than one precinct will receive $300;

    • A commissioner who has received a certificate of instruction will receive $100 or $200; or

    • An uncertified commissioner will receive $35.

  • Authorizes the secretary of state to approve payments up to $100 per election or each day of assistance to compensate each commissioner in addition to the payments above (Sec 1).

  • Specifies that a commissioner who assists the registrar shall take an oath of office as a deputy registrar and must complete an affidavit prepared by the secretary of state and an acknowledgment that law prohibits disclosure of confidential voter information (Sec 1).
