Vote to pass a bill that requires certain provisions in state contracts for delivery for mental health, behavioral health, and addiction services.

Highlights:

• Specifies that publicly financed mental health, behavioral health, and addiction services are critical to the health and safety and require the taxpayers to invest in them (Sec 1). 

• Authorizes any contract to be entered or renewed from families that have a private contractor who makes diagnoses for mental health, behavioral health, or addiction services (Sec 1).

• Requires the services to contain the adoption to a policy sufficient to ensure services and the community are protected from spreading COVID 19 and requires a certification of a commitment that ensures uninterrupted delivery of services (Sec 1). 

• Requires the State to contain a COVID-19 containment and mitigation commitment (Sec 1). 

• Specifies that the bill will come into effect 91 days following enactment and the pandemic related portion will expire in one year (Sec 1).
